North of San Francisco, fifteen minutes away from the Golden Gate Bridge there is a forest where old redwoods rest: Muir Woods. Muir Woods makes you fall in love with its sublime beauty. Unfortunately you have to admire them mostly from a distance, for the woods is protected carefully. However the need to touch the trees is intense; you'll want to hug them, feel their rough skin. Instead listen to them; certainly these ancient trees have some interesting stories to tell. And don't just listen, be part of their stories too. Imagine a hooded, mysterious figure walking behind you and taking you to adventurous lands. The woods will escort you, they'll build the perfect background for your adventures. 

Big Sur II | Henry Miller Memorial Library

Big Sur seyahati sırasında kesinlikle uğramanız gereken yerlerden biri Henry Miller'ın anısını yaşatmak için açılmış Henry Miller Memorial Library. Kâr amacı gütmeyen bir organizasyon tarafından işletilen kütüphane aynı zamanda Miller'in bütün eserlerinin, onun esinlendiği yazarların kitaplarının ve Beat kuşağının eserlerinin satıldığı bir kitapçı, ayrıca bir toplantı ve keyif köşesi. Henry Miller Memorial Library is a must-visit during your Big Sur trip. The Library, run by a public benefit, non-profit organisation, sells all the works by Miller along with books by writers who inspired him. You can also find works by the Beat Generation. This is a place of gatherings and joy. In a candid atmosphere concerts are held in its garden, there are lectures, reading sessions. It is a meeting point of those who are inspired by the beauties of the world.
On the chilly July night I visited the Library there was a profound feeling of peace. You could feel the community and the harmony. I was delighted. Such a beautiful place named after a beautiful person.
